Semi custom frames usually have a layout already designed and you simply enter your name, date or other such information.

How They Are Made
There are basically two methods that are used to manufacture personalized picture frames. A printing process allows the use of color, but these types of frames are usually semi-custom. Laser engraving utilizes a high energy laser beam to burn the personalization into the surface of the frame. Laser engraved picture frames are usually fully customizable.
