If Valentine’s Day isn’t personal, what is?

Today we welcome Amy Driehorst to My Life in Frames with a guest post.

Valentine's DayWhat gift do you most often give for Valentine’s Day? What gift do you most often receive? Do you even exchange gifts on Valentine’s Day?

My husband and I have been married for 20 years. He doesn’t send me flowers anymore and he doesn’t buy me candy anymore. Not because he isn’t romantic or doesn’t love me, but because I told him not to.

Flowers are expensive…especially roses. And.they.die.

Chocolate is delicious. I love it. But, alas, it doesn’t last either–even less time than the roses! And let’s face it, my hips don’t need it!

So what’s my poor husband (and the thousands of others like him) to do for Valentine’s Day when he’s stuck with a practical wife like me?

Listen up guys, because I’ve got the secret!

Get personal! I mean really, if Valentine’s Day isn’t personal, what is?!

Find a picture of yourselves from when you were dating, your wedding, your honeymoon, a favorite vacation. Then design a beautiful frame to put it in!

Engrave your wedding vows on it. The lyrics to your song. Words or phrases that are meaningful to the two of you as a couple. It can even be engraved in your handwriting!

Put the picture in the frame, wrap and present it to her on Valentine’s Day.

Watch her heart melt!

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to 1stFrame.com and get that frame ordered! You’re going to be surprised at how easy, affordable and quick it is to be her Valentine Hero!

In addition to being a wife, Amy is the mother of four. She is a social media specialist at Weaving Influence and blogs at My Chaotic Bliss.
